Philippe Citerne
Chairman
Philippe Citerne began his career in 1972 as a project manager in the Business Department at INSEE, France's institute for statistics and economic studies.
Two years later Citerne began a five-year stint for the French Ministry of Finance, first as project manager and then as bureau chief of energy, transport, and equipment in the Forecast Department.
In 1979, at age 30, he joined the Economic Research Department at Société Générale. Over the next 18 years Citerne worked in a number of departments at SocGen. His experiences in the research, financial management, human resources, and information technology departments lead him to become a co-CEO of Société Générale in 1997.
Retired in 2009, he also serves as Deputy Chairman of Accor SA and Deputy Chairman of Edenred.
Mr John P. Berry
Chief Executive Officer
John P. BERRY has 25 years of international experience and banking, including interbank payments, cash management and securities.
He has held a number of positions in the IT banking world, including positions as architect and consultant for Cap Gemini and CS (where he led the construction of the new French Card Authorisation system (RSB)).
For 6 years, he was CEO of Diamis, a company specialised in software solutions for high-value payment systems.
In 2008, John P BERRY joined Société Générale as Head of the Cash Management Marketing. In 2010, he has been appointed as C.E.O. of STET with a special focus on International development.
Claude Brun
Managing Director at the Banque de l'Economie du Commerce et de la Monétique / Crédit Mutuel - CIC Group
Chairman & Chief Executive Officer - SOFEMO (Crédit Mutuel - CIC Consumer Credit Company)
Claude Brun is responsible for the group's means of payment activities, including strategy and product management.
He also participates in the governance of several organisations such as STET, Federation Bancaire Française and is currently Vice-Chair of the European Payments Council - EPC (he served as the Chair of the EPC Cards Working Group until June 2010).
Brun has specialised in consumer credit, cards and payment business, and joined Credit Mutuel from IBM.
Jean-Christophe Kiren

Former Deputy CEO of Crédit Agricole Nord Est, Jean-Christophe Kiren was appointed Head of Global Transaction Services of Crédit Agricola S.A. in August 2011. He joined Crédit Agricole in the early nineties as the head of IT Operations and Management Control. Mr Kiren was then appointed Head of Human Resources and Communication of Crédit Agricole Anjou Maine (2000-2003) before becoming Deputy CEO of Credit Agricole Normandie (2004-2006). In 2007, he joined the Managing Directors Committee of LCL where he headed Global IT and Operations. He left to become Deputy CEO of Crédit Agricole Nord Est. In addition to his mandates for Crédit Agricole, CEDICAM, and STET, Jean-Christophe Kiren also serves as Vice-President of the CP OR DEVISES Supervisory Board, is a Board member of FIA-NET EUROPE, a Board member of FIRECA, the Holding Chairman of EUROCARD, and Vice-President of EUROPAY FRANCE.
Marie Cheval
Head of Global Transaction and Payment Services - Société Générale
Marie Cheval joined Société Générale in July 2011. She is Head of Global Transaction and Payment Services and succeed Yannick Chagnon as representative of Société Générale in STET's board.
Marie is 37 years old. She is a graduate of Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris (also known as “Sciences Po”) and of Ecole Nationale d’Aministration (ENA). Upon graduating in 1999 she began her career in the General Inspectorate of the Ministry of Finance (Inspection Générale des Finances).
She then joined the French Post Office in 2002 as an adviser to the Deputy CEO in charge of financial activities and of the retail network. As such she was deeply involved in the set up of La Banque Postale (the French Postal Bank). She became Head of Strategy of La Banque Postale (2004-2006) and then moved on to other senior management positions, first as Sales and Marketing Director (2006-2008) and then as Head of Operations (2009-2011).
Fabrice Denèle
Head of Payments, Retail Banking and Insurance - BPCE
Fabrice Denèle is responsible for Cards and Payments Strategy in BPCE (the recent merger of Banques Populaires and Caisses d’Epargne Central Bodies).
He is also Board Member of SWIFT, Visa Europe, STET, Cartes Bancaires, is a member of the European Payments Council (EPC) and several bodies related to payments. He also chairs the European Savings Banks Group (ESBG) Payments Committee.
Fabrice Denèle has over fifteen years of experience in treasury and payments.
Marcel Roncin
Interbank Relations Coordinator - GROUPE BNP Paribas
Marcel RONCIN joined the banking industry in 1988 as the Securities Exchange Officer at Banque Nationale de Paris.
In 1990, he was appointed as the Director of Securities at BNP. Then in 1995, he was put in charge of the Foreign and Securities Trading department of the bank.
In 2000, he was nominated to coordinate the retail banking systems as well as interbank relationships of BNP Paribas.
He also serves as the President of AFTI (French professional securities trading association) and CFONB (French Committee for Banking Organization and Standardisation).
In addition, he is a member of several bodies: The AMF’s Clearing and Settlement Consultative Commission, the EUROCLEAR France Market Committee, the NYSE EURONEXT Orientation Committee, the FBF’s Payment instruments Steering Committee and the FBF’s Investment Banking Orientation Committee.
