Clearing Models
STET’s CORE system offers different Clearing Models to support communities and individual bank migrations to SEPA schemes, while retaining existing customer service levels.
The road to European harmonisation through the adoption of SEPA schemes and standards will need to be complemented over time by convergence towards a SEPA wide Clearing Model. Migration from the national schemes to the SEPA Schemes and at the same time maintaining already established national customer service levels will be a major challenge to payment services providers.
The number of Clearing Cycles, the Timing of those cycles and the Settlement model varies from one national community to another. Practical solutions are needed to meet the SEPA challenge. Market demand for innovative solutions in payments is introducing rapid changes in the way payments are made. Flexible solutions are needed for fast and efficient clearing to meet customer expectations.
STET can offer Real Time processing with two different Clearing models:
- Continuous Clearing with exchanges Guaranteed by a Collateral based arrangement
- Delivery-after-Settlement with Multiple intraday cycles
